If you want to compost, we make it SUPER easy!  We have easy to instructions and available to answer your questions, anytime! Our barrels can be painted, they are food-grade upcycled 55 gallon barrels and can be placed ANYWHERE in your yard or garden.

Each barrel has the bottom completely cut off so the worms and rain can do their job.

COMPOST  TUMBLERS  DON’T  WORK  IN  OHIO

We used to make and offer this COMPOST TUMBLER (shown below)  but we found quite a few things wrong with it.

#1- IT DIDN’T COMPOST IN THE WINTER.  We have SNOW & below zero temps – microbes and flies cannot live in those conditions if your composter is NOT touching the ground –  it cannot compost in the winter.

#2 – YOU NEEDED 2 COMPOST TUMBLERS.  It takes 4 weeks to make compost  AFTER it is filled.  So, you need a 2nd composter to place your food wastes for those 4 weeks.

#3- YOU CAN ONLY USE IT FOR 6 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR.  Because we only have summer and milder weather for half a year it just isn’t worth it, if you are really serious about composting year round.

#4- IT WASNT AFFORDABLE OR PRACTICAL.  We could not honestly sell this tumbler after we found it was really not something you could easily use year-round and when you need 2 of them, well, we just stopped making them.

One Tumber was $95 and a double was $180…. need we say more?
